NET Academies Trust to become sponsor of Waltham Holy Cross School

Welcome Waltham Holy Cross School

NET Academies Trust (NETAT) will soon welcome Waltham Holy Cross School (WHCS) as its newest academy.

The Trust was originally established by the National Education Trust (NET), a charity set up in 2006 to focus on school improvement across the country, and already sponsors 7 academies.

The Trust seeks to bring its set of values and proficiency of successful school improvement to WHCS. We assist education leaders and practitioners in sustaining success and tackling underperformance. Our experience enables us to lead and support policy reform, rooted in what works in the classroom.

We aim to create model schools through which we will be leading innovation in improving educational outcomes for all.  High quality provision, evidenced based best practice in pedagogy and effective staff development are a common features in all our academies.

We are proud that our successful track record in Essex is evidence that The Trust is achieving the best possible outcomes for our young people. Our vision is to lead excellence in education and we will continue doing what we know works to ensure bright futures for every child in our academies.

The Trust’s achievements have recently been recognised by Ofsted following inspections that saw three of our Harlow-based academies, all of which were previously rated Inadequate or Requires Improvement, now rated Good or Outstanding across all criteria. Inspectors highlighted management, personal development, behaviour and welfare as particular strengths.

We are delighted that WHCS will benefit from our extensive expertise by joining the NETAT family, and firmly believe that it will prosper with the Trust’s wide-ranging support.
