NET Academies Trust

School Governors Needed for Battle Primary Academy

School Governor
Location: Battle Primary Academy, Reading

NET Academies Trust is currently seeking new governors to join Battle Primary Local Governing Body. Our school governors come from a range of different backgrounds, skills and experience, but all share a common interest in wanting the best possible education for the children in our Academies.

NET Academies Trust places a strong emphasis on the role of governors in achieving educational excellence in the Academies. As a governor, you will be encouraged to undertake specific roles on the Governing Body which reflect your interests and expertise. The governors collectively provide both a challenge and support function to the HeadTeacher and Senior Leadership Team. As such, the expertise that governors bring allows the Academy staff to bring about the rapid and sustained school improvement and offer the rigour and accountability that is needed.

The role of a governor is both rewarding and developmental, presenting the opportunity to use existing professional and intellectual skills in a new setting, whilst also having the chance to interact with people from other professional backgrounds and to learn from and with them. New governors will receive a full induction and training as necessary.
