Longwood Primary Academy and Nursery is a multi-award winning school that puts the academic development and well-being of your child first. We offer a safe and secure learning space allowing our children to develop in a vibrant and inspirational environment both indoors and out.

Our Nursery is run by a qualified teacher and experienced Nursery Nurse delivering high quality learning experiences in our new purpose built school Nursery.  Children are also given the opportunity to be involved with whole school productions and educational visits.

Longwood Nursery runs 15 and 30 hour government funded session for 3 and 4 year olds.  Our morning session begins at 8:40am until 11:50am and our afternoon session from 12:30pm until 3:40pm or a full school day is also available.

All 3 and 4 year olds receive 15 hours of free childcare a week.  The additional 15 hours is available for families where both parents are working (or the sole parent is working in a lone-parent family) and each parent earns the equivalent of 16 hours a week at the national minimum or living wage, and earns less that £100,000 per year.  If you are not entitled to the extra funding, you will have the opportunity to pay for the extra session.

Children are admitted to the nursery at some time after their third birthday depending on the numbers on our waiting list and the availability of places.

If you have any queries regarding admissions to our nursery, please contact Mrs Monk on 01279 866155.
