Welcome back Year 4!
In our final term, Year Four are discovering the amazing world of tropical Rainforests! We will be developing our artistic skills with using different materials such as collaging and creating clay sculptures of Rainforest animals. We will be looking at the human effect of deforestation on Rainforest habitats, looking and charities that help Rainforest communities and producing a product to sell, in order to raise money for our chose charity.
Elsewhere in the curriculum, our focus for Maths will be money, as well as exploring mass, volume and length. In Literacy, we will be exploring stories from other cultures, and looking in particular at the story ‘Sugarcane Juice’ by Pratima Mitchell.
Spelling and times tables will be set on Mondays and tested on Fridays.
Pupils should complete a box on the homework grid once a week and the final project should be brought into school on the final Monday of term.
