We hope you had an enjoyable half term break, and are now ready for the final countdown to summer!
This term Year Two will be exploring the topic of animals. During this topic they will be going to Cotswold Wildlife Park to see the habitats of more exotic animals and how they are cared for. The children will use this information to create fact files about how to care for the animals, write reports about the animals and stories based on the animals.
In Maths, Year Two will be revising the four operations and using them to solve word problems. We will be measuring and comparing the heights and weights of animals.
During this term the children will create a range of art work including images of corals, different habitats and types of animals. In music we will be creating musical landscapes. In RE we will be studying the Judaism and comparing it to other religions.
The school has a very exciting sports week coming up on the 10th to 14th July 2017. The children will be participating in many different sporting activities including a whole school race for life and sports day. Please make sure your child is in PE kit all week as they will have a PE activity every day.
Please continue to support your child by reading with them daily.
Thank you for your continued support.
